Padmashali Global ("the App", "we", "our") is a free community platform built for the worldwide Padmashali community. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights over it. We keep it deliberately plain.

📊What we collect

Account & identity — phone number, optional email, name, date of birth, gender, gotram, native place, and the photo you choose to upload. Collected when you register.

Community profile — city, state, education, profession, about-me, family details, matrimony preferences, and any content you post (news, businesses, matrimony profile, family tree members, success stories).

Authentication — one-time passwords (OTP) sent over SMS and/or WhatsApp, login IP, last-login timestamp. Used solely to verify and secure your account.

Usage — pages you visit in the App, feature taps, error logs (anonymised). Used to improve the product.

Payments — membership upgrades and community contributions are processed by Razorpay. We receive transaction IDs and amounts; we do NOT see your card or UPI details.

Device — Firebase Cloud Messaging token (for push notifications), approximate device type. No contacts, no SMS, no camera roll access beyond the photo you explicitly choose to upload.

Microphone & voice — the App offers an optional voice-input feature in the AI assistants. The microphone is accessed only while you actively tap and hold the voice button. Your speech is converted to text by your device’s built-in speech-recognition service; we do not record, store, or upload raw audio to our servers. Only the resulting text you submit is processed. If you never use voice input, the microphone is never accessed.

🤝Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share only with:

Other logged-in community members — the profile content you choose to publish (matrimony profile, business listing, success story) is visible to them. You can hide contact details in Settings.
Razorpay — for processing payments. Razorpay’s own privacy terms apply to card/UPI data.
BSNL BRPS & 1msg.io — for sending SMS and WhatsApp OTPs.
Groq / Google Gemini — when you use the AI assistants, your question is sent to one of these LLM providers. No personally-identifying account data is attached.
Law enforcement — only when compelled by a valid legal order under Indian law.

⚙Your controls

Access & export — email support@archanainfo.com and we’ll send a copy of everything we hold about you within 30 days.
Correction — edit your profile any time from the in-app Profile page.
Deletion — email the same address with subject “Delete my account” and we permanently remove your profile, matrimony listing, businesses, family tree entries and all personal data within 30 days. Contributions made for community causes remain recorded (anonymised).
Opt-out of notifications — in-app Settings, or Android/iOS system notification controls.

🔒How we protect it

Passwords are stored as one-way SHA-256 hashes — we can’t read them
All traffic is encrypted over TLS 1.2+
Database hosted on a reputable cloud provider; backups encrypted at rest
Payment data never touches our servers (Razorpay handles end-to-end)
Session cookies are HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax

👶Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. The matrimony module requires users to be 18+. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

🌎International transfers

Primary data is stored in India. A small amount of data may transit through Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and US-based LLM providers when you use the AI assistants. All providers maintain industry-standard protections.

🔄Changes

When we change this policy we update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, notify you in-app before the change takes effect.
